Clinical Applications Support Manager FEATURED
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Responsible for administration, support and maintenance of clinical applications and systems to include but not limited to EHR and XPM. The incumbent will perform system administration, set up and manage a range of features/processes within clinical systems and applications in addition to managing the EHR team.
REPORTS TO: Chief Digital Officer
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTIES: Manages the EHR team comprised of Application Coordinator and Application Field Support positions

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB: (This list may not include all of the duties that may be assigned.)
Receives, determines feasibility of, and prioritizes requests for enhancements or modifications to EHR, XPM and related clinical systems.
Investigates issues that are reported, performs troubleshooting, and resolving system/application issues and escalates problems to vendor as needed. Serves as a liaison between Pediatric Associates and vendor to ensure that requests are being fulfilled and issues are being resolved.
Leads and participates in applications design, testing, and validation for integrations of new systems. Facilitates and leads change management efforts regarding new features/products/tools. Disseminates & communicates system changes to users across the enterprise. Assists in development of training and support materials for system users.
Coordinates and oversees the template changes request and implementation process and ensures templates are implemented efficiently and compliant. Ensures template errors are corrected prior to implementation of change
Monitors applications use, system performance, hardware, software reliability. Routinely monitors adoption and use and takes corrective action as necessary.
Maintains up to date on industry standards and best practices related to clinical application systems and processes to ensure the department and company has adequate systems to meet the company’s strategic objectives. Ensures that the new technology is used appropriately, established technical and quality standards are followed.
Plans for efficient staffing levels and is responsible for interviewing, selecting, hiring staff for the EHR team. Maintains employee work schedules including assignments, training, managing time off requests, teleworking and overtime scheduling.
Provides oversight and direction to employees and ensures compliance with IT and PA’s policies and procedures.
Develops EHR team KPI’s, establishes annual and milestone goals and leads employees to meet KPI’s, job expectations and productivity, quality, continuous improvement and performance standards.
Motivates, rewards, and fosters a collaborative team work environment. Coaches, mentors, and develops EHR staff, and coordinates and leads employee onboarding efforts.
Any other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree required, Graduate (Master's degree or Ph.D.) degree preferred
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
*Upon hire, and for the duration of the employment period driver’s license must be active and valid.*
EXPERIENCE: Min of 5 years related experience - Min of 3 years in management required. Previous healthcare experience required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Ability to communicate effectively including excellent reading, writing
Ability to analyze documentation
