Summary

PRIMARY FUNCTION

To supervise and direct the interventions of the Clinician Learning and Development Specialists Team under the direct report of the Clinician Engagement and Performance Clinical Lead.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Provide training to new Clinician Learning and Development Specialists and explain their daily duties and responsibilities.
  2. Evaluate the performance of the Clinician Learning and Development Specialists Team.
  3. Provide feedback an perform quarterly evaluations on performance to the Clinician Learning and Development Specialists. Ensures the Clinician Learning and Development Specialists accountability. 
  4. Along with the operations team, create action plans to improve the clinics’ performance and reach company’s goals.
  5. Provide guidance and tasks prioritization to the different projects the team members have.
  6. Follow up on projects each Clinician Learning and Development Specialists has. 
  7. Provide team performance reports to the Director of Value Base Care and Clinician Engagement and Performance Clinical Lead. Work along Regional Medical Directors and Chief Medical Director on strategies to achieve Value Base Care metrics goals.
  8. Assist on ECW issues and request (templates, pharmacies, issues, etc.).
  9. Work as an intermediary between Clinician Learning and Development Specialists and other departments of the company.
  10. Conducts job interviews for the selection of the appropriate candidates for new positions.
  11. Builds relationships with RPA, clinic managers, and providers to ensure proper teamwork and assistance with the clinics.
  12. Updates educational material and develops strategies for appropriate training.
  13. Performs other duties as assigned.

 

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervises the Clinician Learning and Development Specialists Team of a region.

 

 

                                  

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Health Management, Public Health Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, Science or Medicine required.
  • 2-3 years of Healthcare Management experience required.
  • 5 years of Healthcare Management experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
  • At least 6 months experience as Virtual Scribe/Virtual MA and 1 year as a Clinician Learning and Development Specialist.
  • Demonstrated practice of continuous quality improvement and relationship development.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Good clinical knowledge and Experience with medical terminology.
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking.
  • Good judgement, initiative and proactive.
  • Attention to detail, constant improvement and the ability to be self-motivated.
  • Excellent organization and able to manage others schedules.
  • Multi-tasking and work effective in a high-stress and fast-moving environment.
  • Excellent documentation abilities and management of EMR software.
  • Perfect understanding of the confidentiality and non-disclosure according to the general standards set forth by HIPAA.
  • Full comprehension of value-based care metrics and goals.
  • Full comprehension of Clinical Policies and Company’s procedures.
  • Impeccable verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish (preferred).
  • MS Office software competency.
  • Detail and results oriented.
  • Excellent organizational skills, familiarity with medical terminology, communication skills, computer competencies and customer service orientation.

  • Works in a typical office environment with a possibility of working remotely.
  • Incumbent must be able to operate a computer

  • Stooping, bending, stretching, and reaching outward and over their head

  • This position may require long periods of sitting, standing, and walking.
