  • Lead position at the Apopka office

Education, Licensure & Certification

  • M.D. or D.O. degree required
  • Successful completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) approved post-graduate residency, or equivalent in Pediatrics
  • Current, Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Florida.
  • Current, Unrestricted Florida state specific DEA license
  • Current Board Certification appropriate for degree or be Board eligible and certified within five years of employment.
  • Meets all requirements in order to obtain medical staff membership and required privileges.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) as required for hospital appointment. 


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to efficiently and effectively manage multiple clinical tasks.
  • Ability and comfort to educate and coordinate with other health care professionals.
  • Knowledge of all Compliance documents including but not limited to the Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct, Compliance Plan, and OSHA Binder.
  • Above average communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of appropriate computer software and hardware.
  • Ability to perform job with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, ensuring that other specialties are included in the healthcare plan.
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety and infection control standards.

Additional Information

1.    Maintains organizational awareness of practice policies and procedures to drive successful implementation of changes and initiatives in their office.  
2.    Effectively communicates the organizational mission and goals of the practice to ensure clinician participation and engagement. 
3.    Demonstrates character and integrity as a leader laying a foundation of trust and confidence with their clinicians.
4.    Supervision and oversight of Clinician Performance and Medical Management in their office.
5.    Fosters high performance and professional development by providing consistent feedback to their clinicians via quarterly performance discussions.
6.    Supports and facilitates conflict resolution along with Practice Administrator and Human Resources; including but not limited to, providing counseling and disciplinary action.
7.    Fosters teamwork and aligns office goals by maintaining the following meeting cadence as established by Leadership:
a) Daily Morning Huddles, Weekly Office Emails, Monthly Manager Meetings and Quarterly All Clinician Meetings
8.    Leads the office in the recruitment and engagement of new clinicians through behavioral based interviewing practices to ensure appropriate recruitment of highly engaged professionals.
9.    Supports and aligns resources in the training of new and existing clinicians to firmly establish a culture of high engagement.
10.    Collaborates with Practice Administrator in implementing action plans to optimize clinician engagement and appreciation.
11.    Proficient in operational tools and procedures essential in leading an efficient and productive office.
12.    On call for Operational Emergences along with the Practice Administrator. 
13.    Works together with Practice Administrator to preserve office budgets and ensures office goals are aligned with the goals of the organization.
14.    Any other task requested by the CMO as related to Leadership.
