We are looking for an experienced and reliable Medical Office Scheduler who values a positive patient experience, loves children, teamwork and meeting our mission of providing the best care, every patient all the time. The Medical Office Scheduler is a critical team member in our Medical Practice. Medical Office Scheduler must have 2 years previous scheduling and/or clinic front office experience, preferably in pediatrics and have experience working in a high call volume, fast paced environment.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Answers and directs calls
- Schedules appointment for patients
- Manage provider schedules for efficient patient flow
- Make reminder calls
- Obtain and enter accurate demographic and insurance information
- Reminds of patient/guarantor responsibility for payment at time of service
- Help with patient portal, recall lists, well visit lists and other special projects as requested.
- Backs up Medical Office Specialist with check in or check out
- Act as a liaison for the patients and the practice
Qualifications and Skills
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- 2 years of previous medical scheduling and/or medical front desk experience
- Exceptional customer service
- Ability to communicate effectively both over the phone and in person
- Ability to relate to persons with diverse educational, socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds
- Ability to work in a high call volume, fast paced environment
- Detail oriented
- Ability to exercise good judgment
- Ability to be organized and be able to multitask
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Medical Office Scheduler: 2 years (Preferred)
- Customer Service: 2 years (Preferred)
