We are looking for an experienced and reliable Medical Office Scheduler who values a positive patient experience, loves children, teamwork and meeting our mission of providing the best care, every patient all the time. The Medical Office Scheduler is a critical team member in our Medical Practice. Medical Office Scheduler must have 2 years previous scheduling and/or clinic front office experience, preferably in pediatrics and have experience working in a high call volume, fast paced environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Answers and directs calls
  • Schedules appointment for patients
  • Manage provider schedules for efficient patient flow
  • Make reminder calls
  • Obtain and enter accurate demographic and insurance information
  • Reminds of patient/guarantor responsibility for payment at time of service
  • Help with patient portal, recall lists, well visit lists and other special projects as requested.
  • Backs up Medical Office Specialist with check in or check out
  • Act as a liaison for the patients and the practice

Qualifications and Skills

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2 years of previous medical scheduling and/or medical front desk experience
  • Exceptional customer service
  • Ability to communicate effectively both over the phone and in person
  • Ability to relate to persons with diverse educational, socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds
  • Ability to work in a high call volume, fast paced environment
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to exercise good judgment
  • Ability to be organized and be able to multitask
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required
