Advanced Practice
Provider Fellowship

Are you a recent graduate of either a Physician Associate program or a new Nurse Practitioner interested in Pediatrics? We have a home for you with our Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Fellowship program. .. This program is built for new or recent graduates that are looking to begin their pediatric career. Our APP Fellowship program will pair you with a set of preceptors to gain a pediatric focused training. This program involves, working with experienced pediatricians, PA’s and ARNPs along with didactic training that includes lectures on general pediatric and specialty best practices, case discussions with our pediatric providers, and an opportunity to shadow pediatric specialists in certain geographies. In a six-month timeframe, you will have the skills and confidence to be an independent provider in the largest pediatric organization in the United States.

Medical Assistant
Externships

Pediatric Associates Family of Companies partners with schools throughout the US to help Medical Assistants complete their required externship hours. Students will be exposed to the Pediatric world where they gain ... knowledge regarding offices and PA procedures. During the externship, students shadow a care team member while performing the following patient care duties:

Our externship opportunities are considered a working interview where they are graded by their school and by PA Leaders who will then determine if they will be a good fit for PA long term. Nine out of ten externs are offered employment with PA!

Prepare exam rooms for patient examinations and observations
Observe lab tests and specimen collection
Shadow employees as they take vitals: measure and record vitals, collecting medical history
