You will be accountable for full-cycle recruitment of Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers ensuring an excellent candidate and hiring leader experience through delivering excellent partnership, guidance, and building successful relationships with internal and external prospects /candidates. The Clinician Recruiter is responsible for marketing opportunities, prospecting and acquiring leads, screening potential candidates, process optimization, and special projects all in support of achieving the goals of the Clinician recruitment team.  This includes facilitating a defined sourcing action plan for all clinician vacancies across the PA enterprise.  This position will play an integral role to ensure all aspects of the clinician hiring process are followed from start to finish, understanding that working with a sense of urgency is a key to success.


REPORTS TO: Reports directly to the Manager, Clinical Talent Acquisition 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to the following):

At the direction of the Lead Clinical Recruiter, manage prospective clinicians from lead-to-hire across the PA enterprise

Maintain applicant tracking system (ATS) for designated areas of recruitment

Primary sourcing responsibilities will be advertising for, sourcing, and contacting developed and undeveloped leads using standard and creative strategies

Fully screen candidates; including phone interviews and license and board verifications

Follow up with candidates throughout the recruiting process from sourcing to hire

Adherence to Clinician recruiting standards, and service level agreements

Actively discuss open vacancies with prospective candidates with accuracy and a mission of exceptional customer service

Provides prompt follow up and communication to key stakeholders involved in the recruitment process for respective locations

Initiate and assist with clinician hiring; including but not limited to physician credentialing and onboarding

Track and report key metrics weekly, monthly and on an as needed basis

Recognize opportunities for standardization with the clinician recruitment process across the enterprise and work to implement strategies for standardization where needed

Actively engage in special projects as requested by Lead Clinical Recruiter and TA leadership 

Meet with, update, and maintain routine communication with Lead Clinical Recruiter and TA leadership

Develop an in-depth understanding of the offer and contract process for all clinician roles

Identify areas of process improvement and work with various departments across the enterprise to streamline processes


Exceptional organization skills; planning, tracking, reporting recruitment progress

Willingness and ability to work occasional nights and weekends, including taking/making phone calls with candidates and attending career/recruitment fairs

Flexible schedule due to occasional requirements of position outside of normal working hours

Ability to work in teams as part of creating, implementing, and organizing process improvement as it relates to all aspects of clinician recruitment

Substantial interpersonal skills necessary in order to use tact and discretion when accepting and relaying confidential information, communicating organizational policies and procedures, and when communicating with the public, patients, and co-workers

Proficient at Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, Communications, Personnel, Human Resources, or equivalent experience in directly related field (preferred not required)


Three to five years’ experience and proven ability in effective physician/clinician recruitment

Licensure/certification: None

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of personnel practices and theories of employment law. Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment and discretion to achieve organizational objectives. Strong interpersonal skills; strong verbal and written and computer skills. Adept at using applicant tracking systems, web based and social media sourcing technology. Effective reporting of recruitment KPIs and other metrics.
